ONE NIGHT AT THE MARKET

It was in April that I came across the music of Kevin Dooley and his band. They play Celtic Kitchen-style music every Wednesday at the Byward Market in Ottawa. I only listened to Kevin’s flute for a few seconds before it took me on a journey to home: Egypt. A week after, I was dancing Baladi with them. We understood that our cultures had met before and here we are again.
